About InsiderAlpha
InsiderAlpha is an SEC insider trading intelligence platform. It ingests Form 4, Form 144, and 8-K filings from SEC EDGAR in real time, stores every primary filing, and scores insider buying signals using role, purchase size, filing recency, cluster activity, and liquidity filters. The daily trading plan is generated from those scores and refreshed every trading day.
What InsiderAlpha is not
InsiderAlpha is not an investment adviser, broker, or fiduciary. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See the full disclaimer.
Data and methodology
All filing data comes directly from SEC EDGAR under its published fair-access rules. Market data comes from licensed market data providers. Filings are deduplicated (a majority of SEC filings are duplicate submissions) and enriched with deterministic profile data from SEC records. Signal scores are fully automated; no score is ever manually adjusted for any company or insider.
Editorial standards
Educational articles are data-first: claims are grounded in SEC filing mechanics or cited research, article dates reflect real publication and revision dates, and corrections are applied directly to the article with an updated revision date. Signal pages are generated from the filing database and never contain editorial opinion.
Specifically, for every guide in the Learn library:
- Every rule, deadline and threshold is cited inline to the SEC release, form or filing it comes from, at the sentence that makes the claim. Worked examples name the EDGAR accession number so you can open the same document we read.
- Figures drawn from our own filing database are labeled as such and resolved from one source, so the same number cannot appear twice on the site with two values.
- Nothing is published on the strength of a summary. Every rule in a guide is checked against the SEC document it comes from before it ships, and a claim we cannot point at a filing or a rule release for does not go in.
- The published and updated dates on an article are the real dates it shipped and last changed. We do not backdate an article to make the library look older than it is.
- Corrections are made in place, with the revision date moved and the change described if it altered the meaning. Send one through the contact form.
Who writes them
The Learn library is written and maintained by InsiderAlpha, and the company stands behind it: corrections go to the contact form and are made in place. The company behind the site, its legal form and its registration numbers are published in the terms.
